The more the structural set has to say, the more chances it has to contradict the architectural set.
Every window and door on a Florida job is a wind-load problem before it is an aesthetic one — header sizing, opening protection, and the load path around it. When the architect moves an opening or changes a width late, the header and connector schedules have to move with it. Often they do not, and the opening-versus-header check is where that shows up.
Plan review comments, product substitutions, and owner changes each send one set back for revision — rarely both at once, rarely on the same date. Version drift between an architectural set and a structural set revised weeks apart is the most common cause of a field RFI, and it is the first thing TrueStruct reports.
The architect or designer produces one set; a separate structural engineer seals another. Nobody is contractually responsible for reconciling them against each other, and on custom residential nobody has the tooling to do it anyway.
